Urban Hip Hop Hats

At what point do people say enough is enough with hip hop fashion?
I’m totally acceptant of different fashion trends (except Ugg boots). I’m only 26 and I live in a fashion forward city (Washington DC). However, why is that hip hop culture accepts pretty much anything that appears in a rap video? At what point is someone going to stand up and say, “wait a second, this is stupid!”? Good example: leaving stickers on your baseball hat. When will someone who is into urban fashion going to stand up and say “enough is enough”?
Reversing a global epidemic like hunger and ignoring stupid fads are completely different animals.
If you want the jack@ss answer, it’s because I don’t see hungry Africans on the street that often, however, I see douche bags with stickers on their hats every day. Though, I do see a lot of homeless black guys in the city on my way to work every morning. I bet they’re probably hungry. Oh well…
You’ve got it twisted……by the time a trend shows up in a video it has already been popular on the “streets” ….even when a rap or hip hop artist starts a “new” trend it’s based on something from the real people…..like lil wayne doing his semi-emo thing and kanye with his prep-star look…you don’t relate to it but that’s no reason for you to stress out about it….just because it’s stupid to you doesn’t mean that it’s actually stupid……it just means that you don’t dig it….so stop worrying about it and spend more time thinking about what you DO like instead of what you don’t……..peace ; ]
