What I have to do to become a graphic designer successful?

I am currently running a small company company called "EKLIPz Kreationz" which is responsible for most graphic art designs for hip-hop and urban-oriented customers. But I can not say business is booming. (B-cuz no) I'm takin graphic arts classes at school and im learning a bit, but I do not think im learning what it takes to actually go out and make money. What id like to know is, Is there somewhere I can learn new things (financial and business intelligence) or is there a company I can join and work for a team like an internship or apprentiseship where I can get the skills to do my thing. the company's Web page is http://eklipzmedia.tripod.com

Short & Sweet: 1. Get a real website that has no ads or pop-ups (tripod is terrible with those). www.godaddy.com provides domain name registration and hosting annual peanuts, and that is good enough to start, I'm told. 2. Your website is very professional. My personal opinion is that the use of Internet talk is not very mature, so do not necessarily look like a guy who gets his stuff done well and on time. Remember, advertising executives, artists use graphics, too, and are businesses. Unfortunately, business is very square and do not want to waste time trying to figure out what you're trying to say. In addition, people want someone who comes through 100% responsible and professional. I'm not getting that from your current site. In addition, many of his paintings of the sample came brokent as links. You can not afford the broken links. 3. Go to the local technical college seminars. In addition, contact with state agencies to Services Small Business. Where I live, there is a mentoring program where people make great contacts and get advice from people who have gone through it. You can also get loans small business, too. 4. Diversify your art. The only way to be truly successful is to practice. I know that now specializes in urban / Hip hop, but for most businesses is to be made available elsewhere. You should know all the different types of software, and really work for do other things besides its present location and we have examples. Your artwork should speak for you and show you how good you really are. Pigeonhole yourself will not help you compete against a dozen others that are very good. Unfortunately, this is a high competition area at this time. I know very well some great graphic artists who can not get work for nothing. Society is very fickle and you never know: Abercrombie & Fitch children who listen to country music could take over, and suddenly your business dry out completely. The best way to survive is to have lots of experience and styles. 3. Make T-shirts and offer them for sale online. www.cafepress.com is that I think I've seen use. Put a variety of things out there and see what people like. It's free marketing! Good luck!
