The Music Industry Guide
`Americans, what are they like and why?
From over here America seems to be a land of extremes. There are religious fundamentalists and cults of every description, liberal values seem to be scorned and you can get life imprisonment for stealing three postage stamps. Obesity is running rife and the gangster culture of inner city decay is openly celebrated in the pop music. The president claims to be guided by God and Evangelists parade on prime time TV. War seems to have become the countries biggest industry with a new adventure being planned against Iran. What is it about the U.S. that creates this contrast with relatively liberal European countries. The U.S. is on the whole a country populated by Europeans so why the huge difference?

US was formed by a bunch of religious malcontents whose insufferable piety and dogmatic fervor was driving you Brits nuts! So take a country founded by religious radicals, add massive natural wealth and a ruthless brand of Christian imperialism and you get the United States of America!
