What is one thing you credit for introducing you to the music you listen to?
For me, it’s Grand Theft Auto.
With GTA 3 came Trance music
With Vice City came 80′s music and just guitar music period. I also happen to like New Wave which that game introduced me to
San Andreas introduced to the Stone Temple Pilots and Stone Roses. I started listening to Grunge soon after as well as other types of music (Hip Hop, Classic Rock)
GTA 4 got me into Jazz, House music, Russian dance music
That’s just a portion of it. Other gta games got me very interested in music and hopefully they will continue to do so…
My love for movies actually. After hearing ‘Where is my mind?’ by the Pixies in Fight Club, I was obsessed with them and other forms of music.
Loved Jane’s Addiction after hearing a song in Natural Born Killers,
Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson after watching Lost Highway
Dead Kennedy’s after watching The Social Network.
And there are heaps more, but many regulars on here got me into heaps of bands such as Manic Street Preachers and Smashing Pumpkins
