How do you feel about the opening ceremony?

The dedication of the Vancouver games to Georgia Luger was very appropriate and touching. What about the rest of the ceremony? Imitation may be the best form of flattery, but I've seen too many cheap copies of the opening ceremony of China for the rest the ceremony. I felt I could have been much more original and that the whole piece did not address Canada's history well enough to truly demonstrate Canadian pride or to attract me to explore Canada (violin piece rock-n-roll is particularly problematic for me). The only real high light for me was the poet. He, himself, expressed the pride of Canada's best and really gave me a desire to visit Canada. How do you feel? te144: You are no doubt free and welcome to express their thoughts and nobody calls you anything. Only you. My suggestion to you is that is that even a fool who knows when to keep your mouth shut is or by others as wise. Knowing when to speak and when to be quiet.

Very disappointing. It was too long in places and you're right, part of the ceremony made sense, much less express pride in Canada. Was not even close to the ceremony of China, but need not be. They should just have more must not be misleading and not so many awkward pauses. I was bored with most of it.

Former rock critic Cameron Crowe delves into his past with this affectionate story centering on high school student Patrick Fugit, who aspires to cover the rock scene in the early 1970s. He bluffs his way into an assignment for Rolling Stone magazine, and is soon covering the band Stillwater–and their drug-induced offstage antics–on tour. Billy Crudup, Kate Hudson, Frances McDormand, Jason Lee, …
