One aspect: A late fifties and early sixties, the radio disc jockeys played an important role in promoting rock and roll to the masses. Disc jockeys had rogue operation stations, low-budget radio were anti-establishment and embraced the rock and roll as a way of making fun of the conservative elements of society. Adolescents of time embraced the extreme values of radio and rock and roll music perceived as an anthem for change.
