Rock And Roll Terminology
A Christian question: Does anyone else find that the Christian contemporary music simply does not have enough sense?
As in the letters in particular. It seems that just repeating the religious terminology without any real depth to them, while many hymns capture the reason why we go to church. CCM is usually as "God is my best friend, I'm so happy, yay!" Not moved emotionally, because it describes what God has done, and a song can. I'm not saying that every single song is good and every single contemporary Christian song is bad, I'm just generalizing. In addition, rock and roll is rebellious and worldly connotations. Much more appropriate for a church environment would be more traditional music. God does not care for the "coldness" as we do.
How's your singing hymns in a hole somewhere in the desert? If you want to live a monastic life, trying to live in a monastery school. Do not try to push down to other people.
