Importance Of Rolling Stones In The History Of Rock And Roll
There is only one band in the history of Rock and Roll to get so much popularity and that is the Rolling Stones. Despite many highs and lows in their journey this rock and roll band has maintained its team members and continued to perform as the biggest rock band till this day. Though there were many new members added to the team over the years but there are two people whom you would find consistent throughout the history of this band. They are Keith Richards and Mick Jagger.
The friendship between these two musical geniuses began when they were in the primary school and they again re-united in the same college. Their combination of vocal and guitar were lethal. In fact, it is their combination which other bands wanted to accumulate. The other two founding stones of the band are Brian Jones and Ian Stewart. The makeup of the band was complete when Bill Wyman join on the bass and Charlie Watts on drums.
Though there were various programs done and albums cut by this legendary group, it is their “Satisfaction” which started their journey to super stardom. Then they started giving one after another hit songs such as “Get Off of my cloud”, “Paint It Black”, “Sympathy For the Devil”, “You Can’t Always Get what you want” “Ruby Tuesday” and so on. There are some internal changes also happening to the band during that time. Ronnie Wood joined as a guitarist and created excellent sound effects for the songs of the band. Though Ian Stewart left the group but continued to perform with them. Before the joining of Wood there are two other guitarists who joined to perform along with Keith Richards. One was Brian Jones who died in the year 1969 and then Mick Taylor joined. He was there for only four years and was replaced by Ronnie Wood.
Thus the band continued to perform and maintained its charisma since its inception till this day.
