Why 70s/80s cult films?
I'm doing a research paper on cult movies rock and roll of the 70 in the early 80's. Think in terms of Rocky Horror, Tommy, The Wall, This Is Spinal Tap. To begin, I want to get some opinions (not to mention only help to start and gain new insights could not have thought). Why (especially if we take that time) Do you think these films was a success of worship such? What kind of output is provided for certain people? Any ideas on the subject are greatly appreciated!
A cult film (also known as a cult film / image or a cult classic) is a film that has acquired a very devout, but specific fans. [1] Often, the films of worship have not achieved fame outside the small fanbases, however, there have been exceptions that have won fame among the general public. Many films worship have come to exceed its original cult status and have to be recognized as classics, others are of the "so bad it's good" variety and are destined to remain anonymous. Cult films often become the source of a prosperous obsessive, and elaborate subculture of fans, hence the analogy to cults. However, not all films with a rabid fan base is necessarily a cult film. Usually, cult films have limited but very special appeal said. Cult films are often known for being eccentric and not follow the traditional rules of commercial cinema and generally address issues not considered in any Conventionally, however, there are examples that are relatively normal. They are often controversial, as you step out of the narrative and technical conventions known standard [2].
