Rock & Roll and hip hop?
today this kid in the class, said that hip hop and rap is stupid, because it is always about girls, cars, and jewleries. I want to make this clear hop, rap and hip, are genres. rock is also a genre, so it's reggae and pop. I do not understand how ignorant can think well. the reason that the songs come to be about girls, cars, diamonds, because it depends on the artist and the letter he or she writes gender. you know theres different types of bands to compare green day and a kiss? It's like that! compare Soulja Boy and Tupac. You can get what I mean? gender has no nothing to do with the letters that are crossed by mouth artist. but if im not correct, is not Gene Simmons, lead singer of rock? and doesn't that sing about girls? "Lighter" by Gene Simmons, search YouTube. The funny thing is that you do not see fans of hip hop to get the rock and roll that way. How ironic if you ask me. what other singers rock or bands sing about girls and cars like Gene Simmons do?
I totally agree with you. Some people are very ignorant about music genres and what each consists of. Not all rock is, or is hip hop like that. I guess people'd have to be more specific about things when they say something.
