Teen Discipline Problems – Sex, drugs and not so much Rock And Roll!
Many parents worry that their children are exposed to a dangerous world sex and drugs and this is one of the main problems of discipline teenager at the time. The peer pressure among adolescents is enormous and if the group is experiencing, then there is a real need to address this and discuss it with your child.
I just read a post about a high school play about Sweeney Todd, the murderer of London barber, who also ate their victims. Just one day story of murder and cannibalism! No one objected.
However, when the school announced the next play call Rent: School edition that deals with homosexuality, drugs, AIDS and drug abuse, there was a storm of protest. School boards were asked to angry parents who were upset by the fact that their children would be exposed to such issues. This is not the case in Iran but in New Jersey!
However, there is no school in the nation, where teens are not having sex, where children of all ages drugs and buying drugs for ADHD in the school parking lot for various nefarious purposes. There are gay teens in all kinds and some intimidated suicide. Instead of censorship, parents need to confront your teen with these adolescent discipline problems. How to behave when the pressure peer group becomes really hard?
There is an urgent need for parents to teach their children about responsibility for their own lives and safety. There should be a frank discussion about security. Why are there laws about drugs? What is your opinion about sexuality and how they can show different solidarity with adolescents who have difficulty expressing their sexuality? What will you do to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases, etc.
Security is a major adolescent discipline problems. Just think what these children are exposed. The idea of sexting where teens sending nude photos of themselves can enter a network of child pornography, sent by minors. Is only imperative again to talk about these dangers and warn that safety comes first.
Then there are all sorts of questions about Internet safety. Must be aware that frequent sex offenders in the network. For example, a recent CNN report stated that there were 2,000 registered sex offenders on MySpace North Carolina. That's just in North Carolina! It is essential to warn them about online predators.
The conclusion is that parents have to take responsibility to warn teens about such issues as discipline and adolescents do not prevent parents probably signed the petition on Income. Disclaimer at the end of the day applies to both adolescents and parents.
