Ultimate Pop Icon: Who to choose?
Yes, this is in the right category. Feeling inspired by the recent episode of Glee, I would like to ask something. Now out of the 3; Britney Spears, Madonna & Lady GaGa. Rank them. Tell me why they are the ranking you’ve given and also the best thing you think each has contributed to pop music and pop culture. Here’s mine:
1. Lady GaGa- She’s showed the world that it’s ok to be a freak. I love her music, she has a real voice, and she’s very creative.
2. Britney Spears- She has shown that even through misfortunes you can still rise above and come out better than before. Her dancing is amazing, her music is catchy, and I grew up listening to her.
3. Madonna- Equally important, yet not the biggest fan. Though she has shown that women are a force to be reckoned with. I think she tries a bit too hard though.
1 – Madonna
2 – Britney
3 – GaGa
Madonna’s accomplished so much more in her career than the other two. Britney’s also accomplished so much, but I think Madonna deserves the first position more. I don’t think GaGa’s been in the industry long enough to surpass the other two.
Madonna can keep herself known to the newer generations, unlike other stars who fade from popularity with a generation shift.
Britney does her thing, and she’s good at it. She (or, her team) knows what’s popular and how to make that work to her advantage.
GaGa is a unique gem who uses her full potential to the max.
