Pop Music Originated
In what country they originate in pop music?
I'm in the choir and we have to write a paragraph on a 4-5 Sentance kind of music. Need know where it originated and the like ….. basically its origin.

The term "pop music" was first used in 1926 in the sense of "having popular appeal", but since the early 1950, has been used to describe a musical genre, originally characterized as a lighter alternative to rock & roll. [3] [4] The standard format pop music is the song, usually less than five minutes, and instrumentation that can range from an orchestra to a solo singer.
