Pop Music Facts
Why can’t rockists appreciate some pop music?
I understand them for not liking rap and modern day (electro)pop (by Lady Gaga, Bieber, Katy Perry, Kesha, etc) – I certainly don’t too.
But I’m talking about pop/R&B music from Elton John, Richard Marx, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys and some other adult contemporary music (or soft rock).
They also hate on those genre. Why? It ponders me. Don’t they have real music? In fact, a lot of these pop songs by these artists have strings, pianos, some electric guitars (mostly acoustic, though).

Btw, this question is aimed towards those who like classical rock/metal bands like The Beatles, AC/DC, Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, etc.
They think it’s media garbage. Like, that’s what everybody should listen too and it’s conforming. I don’t really know how to put it but I just think they’re music snobs.
