DVD/CD burner won’t burn or play CDs through Music Match Jukebox?
Burner was installed Feb. ’06 and worked fine for several months for both playing and recording CDs. (I haven’t used it for DVDs so far.) I use Music Match Jukebox to play, record and store music. The burner is an NEC ND-3550A DVD/CD burner. For the past several months, I cannot play or record CDs through Music Match. If I try to play, it plays the first one second of each track and then stops. If I try to record (either MP3 or regular disc), it aborts early on and pops out the disc, with an error message saying something about “hardware failure”. I can burn discs fine through RealPlayer, which led me to think the problem was with Music Match rather than my burner. So I ordered the upgraded Music Match, but still the same problem trying to record. Can anyone help?
Well if the CD Burner works with another app it sounds like something has gone askew with MusicMatch.
Go to Add/Remove programs and Uninstall it. Restart, then Reinstall it
OBTW write down your license code if you are using the paid for version before you uninstall.
