What Are Some Differences Between Modern Pop Fans And Classic Rock Fans?

- Classic Rock fans think they have the best music taste ever and won’t listen to anything else

- Modern Pop fans have a favorite SONG
I never look to see if there is a difference, why? Because why would I. I love music no matter what generation it comes from. I’m what “you” would quote as a classic rock fan, but I have never thought that I had a better taste in music, that anyone else, I love what I like for me and no one else.
With will over 3000 vinyl records in my collection, and well over 600 tapes and cds, I have a pretty good idea of what I like and a good 50 years of music under my belt.
I have everything in my collection from The Stones, [The Beatles who I don't like that much] to Dio, Chickenfoot, Them Crooked Vultures, Steve Vai, Eminem, Ghostface Killah, Ice Tea, Public Enemy, Blues artist just as Slim Harpo, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin’ Wolf, Bo Diddley, B.B. King, To people like Godon Lightfoot, Tracy Chapman, Jacob Dylan, Queensryche, Eric Clapton, Danny O’Keefe, Van Morrison, I love Jazz, Moe Koffman, Ron Carter, Instant Coffey, Weather Report, The Cannonball Adderley Quintet, George Benson.
I could go on with Country, Folk, Big Band, Show Tunes all of which I have in my collection. My friends 11 year old son, is into his music of today, but his big thing is going through my collection of vinyl, and picking out artist to hear, and he does not like the Beatles, But loves The Stones, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath.
So no I would not consider myself as having the best taste in music, I like what I like and that is all that matters. I not out to get people to like what I like. I like, love music for the sake of music, whether it’s todays music or yesterdays music.
I rather enjoy my music than trying to find out this one likes this and the other one likes something else. When people are doing that, they are missing out on some great new and old music that is out there.
