Nyu Music Industry Major
Double Degree or Double Major?

So I am trying to figure out what to do in college. The two schools I am striving to get into are NYU and USC. I really want to major in music business and public relations or communications, but I am not sure if I should double major or get a double degree. I will most likely try to work in the music industry, but fashion PR/marketing/merchandising and entertainment PR/marketing/production also interest me and I do not want to limit myself by just majoring in music business. So the question is: Is it more worth it for me to double major or get a double degree?
Also how time consuming is a double major/degree because I do not want to be working 24/7, but I am dedicated.

I would just go for one degree/major for the time being because the work load for doing either will be quite hefty and you need to know how well you handle it first. During that time, however, you can talk to your academic adviser about which one would be most beneficial to you for your career. Just so you know, it isn’t necessarily what you are majoring in that will help you once you graduate. It gives you a starting point, but employers want to see what you do outside of academia. So I think it would be better for you to just major in music business and get work experience on the side that has to do with the other things that interest you.
