Is rap music creating problems for girls in the UK?

This article in the UK "Daily Mail", suggests that rap music is having a very negative impact on British teenagers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=401684&in_page_id=1770 In short: "Psychologists said their findings of a three-year study presented a disturbing picture of how popular music affected the attitudes of children with sex. Rap music and hip hop, with its emphasis on sex and degrading representations of women, were accused of promoting a early sexual behavior, resulting in the spread of diseases and underage pregnancies. "" It may be that girls who are repeatedly exposed to these messages expect to take a submissive role during sex and to be treated with disrespect by their partners. "What do you think? Are teens who have sex before they could, if they are exposed to certain types of music? Make certain types of music as the identity of girls in a negative way?

*** Correction *** NOT ok to hip hop, gangsta rap is. Hip hop has many styles and variations, most of which are not violent or sexist. To answer your question, violence in TV, video games, boxing, movies and many other aspects of our culture every day, can affect negatively to children or adolescents. This is where parental guidance comes control – the parents should raise their children right from wrong. Also, do not think the gangsta rap is responsible for teenage pregnancies. Most of the time, is the lack of an active and loving father or an unstable home that accumulates in the case of teenage pregnancies. The Parents should be responsible for the failure, not a music video. If you grew up with a loving father, who did not accept to be mistreated. Girls do not choose partners to disrespect, and certainly not to listen to music and h0es b1tches called. Fatherhood is what we have to pay attention to, not different kinds of music.
