Nashville Music Industry Careers
Would it be wrong to date a girl if it helps me with my career in the music industry?
First off, I DO like her very much, I’m just afraid to start a new relationship because my last one ended horribly and left me with a broken heart. That was 5 years ago. Since then I have moved to Nashville and gotten a Certification in the Recording Arts, and a BS in Audio Engineering, along with a minor in Buisness. I just graduated college and am ready to break into the music buisness and make my mark in history. The girls dad is WAY up on the food chain in the music industry, and could basically provide me with all of the connections that I need to be successful. Would it be wrong to date her, even tho I like her, if I plan on using her father’s status to help me to my own benifit? The music industry is hard to get into, and you don’t get many chances. This could be mine. (She knows I want to use her father for help and says he’ll like me. She’s okay with that)
It is not wrong, only if your true intentions are to be with the girl and not merely because of the help she can give you. The most important thing that you need to ask yourself is how much do you like her and how much are you willing to put into this relationship to make it work? Because things can turn out pretty bad if the only reasons are the connections. Be honest with yourself and with her. Don’t brake your heart again for an opportunity that could cost you your happiness.
