Music Industry Threatens
Will radio ever be good again?
post payola, the radio played what it liked… a DJ’s skill was their ability to find and play interesting music, not “shock” us….
It seems file sharing is not the worst thing threatening the music industry… in my humble oppinion it’s the bland blah of the grey radio stations that play the same thing in every city in America.
Who likes this stuff? It’s not like there isn’t a ton of great new music coming out, but you can’t find it anywhere on the radio.
Is this all a result of “Market research”? Do they try to please so many people that they end up not pleasing anyone… regardless of genre…
or am i just crazy?
Do you have highspeed digital internet connection? If so, open Windows Media Player and click on Guide. There should be a radio button, you can search for specific types of radio or just randomly select one of the dozens.
I love the old radio shows – Jack Benny, Bob Hope, etc… – nothing quite like them on the radio today….
