Help with career choice?
I have a problem and I've been trying to find a solution, but I can not .. Ok so my passion is music, I took piano lessons for about 1 year and then quit, but after the piano lessons started playing the trombone in grade 5 my school and then I started playing guitar in the 7/8th grade. Now I am in grade 10 and I stopped halfway trombone through 9 th grade to concentrate on my guitar. I love listening to music, playing music and creating music. I think music is my passion. So I was thinking of having a music career like maybe from a band or be a music producer. But my problem is I've heard it's very hard to succeed in the music industry and I do not want to end up without money in the streets. I was thinking of choosing another career that would be better money-wise, but would be unhappy doing this job. So I follow my passion for music or should I choose a job that is financially smarter.
Although it is important to do something you're passionate, sometimes you just have to be reasonable with us themselves. Personally, I love to watch TV for a living, but it is not going to happen (well, not likely). Although it is an example of fact, I I get what I mean:) Try to find something called the midline, or even work two jobs. You might consider working at a radio station or something? As you said, become a musician or music director is a very difficult market to break and you should certainly have a backup plan. Keep thinking about it, but not too stressed out – still have plenty of time to decide! And even if you do not like your decision, you can always change. Enjoy being young while you can!
