Music Industry Personal Assistants
What is the best way to get job in the entertainment industry? Personal assistant, A&R, etc.?
Basically, a supportive role behind the scene. I am in interested in the music, television and movie arenas. I have a good work background and a Bachelor’s degree but no experience in the field and I am trying to figure out the best way to get started. Good locations, how to meet celebs or join agencies, would all be helpful, especially from someone already working in the field.
My husband works as a color timer for one of the color labs in Hollywood. From his 25yrs. in the biz, he has discovered that being an intern at the studios or in post production can be a really good way to get your foot in the door. it also helps to know people in the industry too. And being a relative doesn’t help either.
