Music Industry Of Korea
Will China’s entertainment industry ever reach Korea/Taiwan/Japan’s level?
I only know of a couple Chinese singers/actors, but they are all really good in my opinion.
Right now, it’s clear that Korea, Taiwan, and Japan’s entertainment industry are far more developed than China’s. Especially in dramas, tv shows, music, boybands, etc.
I’m just curious… do you think China’s entertainment industry will ever reach Korea/Taiwan/Japan’s level? If so, will it be anytime soon?
Quite possible. I think there are many great talents in China, it could be that lack of international exposure that hinders their potential. Take for instance Jay Chou from Taiwan, he began as a composer, singer, can play different instruments, acting, ad modeling, and soon began to take on different projects and doing significant number of concerts and collaborations. K-pop groups also reached international sensation that is soon used to advertise Korean products and reaching markets all over the world. Maybe it would take a while for China’s entertainment industry to flourish significantly.
