Music Industry Networking Events
US Film TV conferences for networking?
Hello, who can provide me details about what conventions/conferences exist in the US annually that cater specifically to the film/tv industry? I have attended the NAMM show in Anahiem, CA several times, and although very nice, and has provided me with some professional opportunities, I’m interested in a professional event that will cater strictly to the film/tv industry. An event where I can network with other composers, music supervisors, directors, etc. for more exposure.
Also, if you might know of admission/registration guidelines, usual fees, and/or time of year it normally occurs, that would be great. Something that would be geared more towrds me being able to pass out reels directly to people involved in producing for tv/film would be more of the emphasis. Thanks!
Try the NATPE in Vegas… rather expensive but very good. Several of my friends got contracts there and shows started. It is one of the best in the media industry. I have been going there for 6 years and it really does keep me up to date in media format, sales, actors, script and new media co. Here is the link for it.
