I try my best to avoid to go major venues, help?

I try my best to avoid going to major venues, aka ticketmaster/live nations/clear channel( if that still around)venues. How much of a differences am I making? How can bands continue to play these type of venues with the monopoly ticketmaster/live nations have on the music industry? How can bands on indie labels still play these major venues? Don’t they care about their fans?

go to fremont st. there are free bands and lots of other stuff to see.
