Music Industry Monday
all female bands against VS paramore?
I am a huge paramore fan, first and foremost. but I'm sick of all the comparisons. between Paramore and bands women from the front (no doubt, Hey Monday, versemerge, flyleaf, evanescence, etc.) I have Almost like going to paramore because of this, and I know that's not his fault. I am a girl and I love music and can not help but think what if I did it in the industry? I get knocked down and was not given the opportunity, because the public thinks I'm not as good as paramore? that really bothers me. Can anyone tell me why theres no stopping comparisons? * Yes I know I probably misspelled more of 1 / 2 of band names, sorry. I'm just not spelling food.
It's not like the band Paramore is the only compared to other. Is simply human nature to compare things so that people can identify with something they already know. But mostly, it's because Paramore is so well known so if there is someone knew, that will be used as a measuring stick to see how up to someone so well known. If you want to get into the music industry, no matter what genre music that was or what seemed or whatever, there would be compared to someone who is famous, it's only going to happen. But you can not let that stop you discouraged. Not all bands is the same and just because they can be as good as Paramore, that does not mean they are not good, and it is only the opinion of all people, is not a fact. There are bands out there that are better than Paramore so it's not like we are perfect or anything, is likely to worry about what people think about them.
