Your predictions about Imus?
I predict that Imus will becoming back big (i.e. after the Sirius and XM merger or to some other radio station) and will want to get some retribution.
I think he may be a big factor for the Presidential Race in 2008.
I think he feels betrayed. He saw how easily his employers bowed down to Sharpton, Jackson, and Advertisers.
He is mad because MSNBC and CBS fostered his consistent rampage for years and now… the managment suddenly seen the light?!!!!….and no one else from their management was terminated?!!!
Imus will probaly not be to happy about Obama…and will be slanted against him. People will be turned off from Obama mainly because of guilt by association with Sharpton and Jackson.
People will be watching Jackson and Sharpton like a hawk…to ensure they continue their crusade against the music industry. They are walking on egg shells for a very long time.
They slip…people will be on top of them like flies on $hit.
ITA. Obama made a mistake for sure in jumping in the Sharpton mob train . Imus core fans are the moderates on both sides of the aisle and independents who are politically interested, exactly those swing votes Obama needs.
It certainly hurts him greatly in my rankings of who I might support.
I don’t know if he’ll come back. He’s pretty old and has had health problems and history of drugs and booze. He could drop dead any time. He should retire.
