How to get behind racks at concerts or shows, etc prize?
Hi, so I have 19 and interested in working in the music industry, media (not as an artist or anything in front of the camera, I'm more interested in the backstage of things). From level input, I wonder where / how I can find out about volunteering or helping backstage at these events. For example, is there a website that I can tell how to request or offer opportunities to help out between racks. Or maybe some music magazines in the UK independent journalists offered new phase passes etc so you know I'm not pushing to meet my favorite singer or something, this is mainly a way for me to gain experience.
There are four ways to get a pass …. 1) You must know someone connected with the tour, more like a relative who works for the concert. Or, if you're lucky to have a friend at school or a neighbor who has a relative who works for the concert. Or someone in the arena or concert that has connections with the band. 2) Be a news reporter. You would to be one connected to your local newspaper or local television crew news. 3) A local radio station at some point will have a concert backstage pass and offer it as a prize promotion. Either you have to be the person who called 7 or 10. Or answer the right question in the air. Or hope that the registration form you filled out was collected in a drawing. 4) Sometimes a person has one and sells it at auction on eBay or Craigslist.org line and expect to pay big dollars actually (Like hundreds or thousands) of it.
