Music Industry Internet Downloading

Illegal music downloads?
The regulators will tell you that no matter what, if you download the music from the internet without paying for it. It’s wrong.
The Economists did a survey and wrote in its article about the music industry and said “the younger generation think music should be free..
Some people thought if they do not download the music and hear it first, they won’t buy the album in the first place, if there’s only one song ( which they heard from the radio) they like.
Artists, recording companies all condemn the act of downloading, so
DO you think this is more of an ethical question (to download or not to) rather than crime (if the law enforcers have concrete proof to sue you), since copyright laws vary from country to country?
Your 2 cents pls.
If my friend bought an album and make a copy for me, how could they possibly find out?
What the major labels are trying so hard to do is to keep an art form on a leash. But how can that be done when us goofy kids keep teasing it and letting it go? It’s a battle that, in my opinion, is going nowhere. The common man can pirate, upload, send, copy, etc. as much as they want and the industry can try and swat at as many flies as they want. Nobody is winning and unless something drastic is done that’s the way it will stay. It’s pretty much all or nothing for the file-sharing crowd.
