Rap inspired this form of music and also resulted in the birth of many sub-genres, emerging successful industries. It is also said that was the root reggae hip-hop rather than the reverse.

Not many stories about this style is taking the hip hop name. It is said that the term "hip hop" was coined in 1974 by MC Lovebug Starski and was also used by the Black Sword of the legendary band Afrika Bambaata. Another story says that this slang was first used in the song by The Sugarhill Gang "Rapper's Delight", and some say coined the term Space Cowboy. The list is further joined by William Stern, Sara and Keith "Cowboy" Wiggins, a former member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

Even the invention of "scratching" technique has an interesting story behind it. Grand Master Theodore, circa 1977, was in her room playing records when her mother rebuked by volume, and to pause the recording, that error was moving forward and back as he made a scratching noise. Then developed technique and played in games which became very famous.

Even the hip-hop dance that developed in the hip hop music and graffiti, is said to be influenced by African dance Capoeira Angola and New York style salsa dancing or full bombi by Latino communities.

This style of music is also a slang alongwith a culture that reflects the empowerment of the black community. It also has many interesting facts and trivia that can spread the rumors.

It is said that Mughal rap Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes studied in the same school and once fought in the corridor, including Snoop Rass Kass and struggled in school, and Havoc and Prodigy also attended the same high school. To add to the story, Snoop Dogg has gone to school with Cameron Diaz.

There are also some rumors about artists who do not belong to the place they claim as their mother tongue. It is said that Eminem is from Detroit but from Warren Michigan and that the Department and DJ Premier are not New York, but from Dallas, Texas. UGK also rumored that it is not Houston, but from Port Arthur Texas and MF Doom is originally from London, England.

The list of rumors, gossip and trivia Hip hop is never ending. The globalization of hiphop in the different cultures of the world have reached all corners of the world. In fact, Hip-hop has gone global in the true sense.
