Music Industry For Dummies

Where’s the talent in today’s music? And what’s are some of your favs when lead singers…?
…could actually sing???
It makes me sick to my stomach to hear what kids are listening to these days. It seems like they get their hands on some second (or third) hand equipment, form a garage band after reading Music for Dummies, and get signed up by the industry simply based on their looks (sometimes) and their ability to make noise and jump around. What happened to music where it took talent and emotion to put together a tune that told a story about some event in life…
it was really music when it’s like the music you remember. sure everyone always says it, but there is truth in it, so here goes parents (or generatinally challenged adults) will always think what their children listen to is noisy talentless garbage. remember what the majority of thirty somethings thought of elvis??? now look…king of rock ‘n’ roll, try focusing on the fact that as a generation kids are still striving to out do the one before them, that they are not settling for what those who came before them already fought for and made their own. when kids stop trying to go the extra mile to alienate their parents and teachers and generally the whole adult community at large, music will be lost forever. i mean we havn’t as a popular culture busted out some killer leads on our violins while enjoying an evening of chamber music in the ballroom of some high society, white wig wearing, lord…or have we? and on a side note what do you have against second or third hand equipment, some beautiful music has been made by some very talented folks on less than that, and as far as making noise you’d be suprised how much talent is involved in making that noise sound just noisy enough to keep your ears and the ears of like, off of it. be pleased you had your time enjoy your old lps and delight in the forward momentum the young lazy aimless incompetent masses have been capable of pulling off every generation, for at least the last 100 yrs, while the reigning class do just about everything in their power to hinder it. you have to smile, now, and every time you hear the noise you despise; because this despised noise will remind you of your music and the fight you took up for it against the generation that came before you, it will remind you of your story and tghe events of your life and if it doesn’t and you aren’t reminded of the love for your music then sir it is you who are lost and noisy and your words are second and third hand, and you have probably made it to where you are only because age affords it. remember we all have storys to tell about events in life…life and it’s events are forever moving and changing and so the music that rises up out of it must to, if you haven’t moved and changed, letting it take you along for the ride, than understanding and comprehension are lost upon you and you are lost to it and will never be included in it’s story again.
