Music Industry Financial Information
Question regarding UK Music Downloads?
I have a unique idea for managing and promoting music artists, but need to run some numbers. I am looking for anyone with information or sources to answer: How many downloads per week would a small Independant UK Label expect to achieve with a new artist after providing support and small financial resources
I know there are many variables here but I am looking for average figures based on any-ones experience or knowledge.
I found on the PRS site that in 2005 the average artist weekly download was Single – 2,350 and album – 9,171 and the industry grew 20% on average per year. So using a little math that would make 2010 somewhere in the region of Single – 5,848 and Album – 22,820. But I have no other reference point so hence the question on here
