The Look Of Love

The Look Of Love

$6.36

The Look of Love doesn’t tamper with Diana Krall’s ongoing success, continuing the emphasis on romantic ballads and embracing them with lush string arrangements. At the core, of course, is Krall’s voice. She’s developing into one of the great torch singers, with an approach that’s both direct and subtly nuanced, true to the song and yet deeply personal. Chris Gaines Greatist Hits

$13.99

The first single, “Lost in You,” sounds like Kenny Loggins auditioning for a role in…

However, since his impressive debut, Killin’ Time, Black seems to have grown increasingly more attached to clever word play and abstract ideas than he is to emotion and narrative. And when the songs are as awful as “A Bad Goodbye” (an overwrought 1993 duet with Wynonna), who cares how good hi…

Twas the Night Before Christmas [VHS]

Narrated by Joel Grey, the story opens on the night before Christmas, but the reading of the poem must be stopped when two creatures in the house begin to stir: family men Mr. Trundle and Father Mouse. Their restlessness stems from the fact that Santa is angry at the r…
