Mp3 Music Gospel Music

how can i make my parents more open towards the music i listen to?
i listen to rock and metal, but my parents say that they are demonic and that “there is something wrong with me for listening to crap like that.” Yes we are christian and my family hates what i listen to, but why do they have to call it demonic?
Once i was playing The sound of truth (As i lay btw) on my stereo using my mp3 player (and a audio cable).i was careful to put the volume really low (i lost my headphones). my brother told me to turn that crap off and then my mom plugged out my mp3 player, turned on a gospel station, turned it up REAL loud, then came up in my face saying “this is real music”
i know they don’t like what i listen to, but why do they have to act like such jerks?

cool, 2 mins in and my question has been trolled. i think i set a new record
parents and others call our music demonic because they don’t understand. they see people dress different and act different and they assume something has to be wrong with them. and there isn’t. just because we don’t have the same beliefs doesn’t make us bad people. they don’t get the true emotion and dedication that goes into our music. my parents and family were the same way, they’ll get use to it sooner or later. they can’t stop you for listening to your favorite kind of music, give them time to realize that. and prove to them your still the same person they always knew. just with different interests and views.
