Mp3 Music Dj Software
Is there a way I can make loops from music by spinning cd’s on something connected to my computer?
I mean is there some kind of way where I use some kind of cd turntable device which is connected to my pc, and i make loops on the spinning cd’s etc. i guess sort of how Dj’s do with vinyl? What kind of device would i use? and what software would I have to use? I am totally new to this but I’ve always wanted to mix music like this especially because I live where spinning those black dj discs are kind of impossible to find. I’ve been using acoustica mixcraft and mp3′s but its kind of not giving me the magic i want to feel…any ideas?
There is absolutely no way you could mix CDs manually. CDs cannot be spun at different speeds because they use digital data, which is read by a laser and stored in your computers memory. On a vinyl, the surface has very small groves in it, which a needle runs through and translates into sound waves, so it is done entirely with physical objects. Spinning CDs at the correct constant speed would be virtual impossible with your hands, and rubbing them would not make that cool scratchy noise you get from a vinyl, rather than the music just stopping and you most likely getting some kind of error on your computer. Nice thought though.
