Mp3 Music Clipper
Why does my Archos mp3 clipper beep and not play music?
uploaded music to it, went to listen to it and it just beeps at me
you’re not the only one. almost everyone who uses this gets this problem, including me. i got so frustrated i ended up buying an ipod shuffle in replace.
but, the day after i bought the ipod, i fixed my archos clipper problem. 
The reason i think this happens is because you may have some corrupt music files. the archos clipper only works with mp3 and wma formats. i had everything mp3, but i still got the beeping. This is how i fixed it eventually:
I took all my songs and converted them to MP3. (you can get a free audio converter online) Make sure everything is MP3 format. thats what i did.
Then, put all of the music in a playlist on iTunes. I think iTunes will separate corrupt music files with the good ones, and the ones that work on itunes work on the archos clipper. So pretty much just take all your mp3′s and put them on itunes. (download itunes if you dont have it. its free)
Delete everything on your archos clipper, and then make a folder titled “music” or whatever.
Drag all your itunes music directly from your playlist to the archos clipper folder. you shouldnt hear the beeping when you listen to it next time.
Good luck, and if this works for you, please spread the word, because many people have this problem. no need to dish out $50 dollars on an ipod like i impatiently did lol
