Can I put music that I download on iTunes on an MP3 player other than an iPod?
I have an MP3 player that is not an iPod, and is not affiliated with Apple in any way, and was wondering if I could still use iTunes to put downloaded songs on this MP3 player. Thank you very much.
You can. All you need to do is to convert the songs from m4a (the format iTunes uses) to mp3, then put it on your mp3 player. When you open iTunes, there is a program to convert songs into mp3 format. Just right-click the song, and select Create MP3 Version. If you need to know where on your hard-drive iTunes put the song, right click the song; select Get Info; and look at the bottom of the Summary page.
It might be easier to buy music from Amazon — it’s a bit cheaper than iTunes and downloads in mp3 format.
