R.I.P. Scott La Rock…?
His death affected the hip hop world heavily.
It started the Stop the Violence Movement, I just wanna get your thoughts on this.
I’m saying that events like La Rock’s death made people more concious about violence.
It brought groups like A Tribe Called Quest, Poor Rightous Teachers, etc.
The odd thing about this question is that he died of course by a violent way, (gunshot, trying to defuse an argument)..but back in 1987….KRS-One dedicated “Stop The Violence” to him but it actually appears that the violence since then has only gotten blatantly worse.
His death did affect the RHH community because he was NOT a violent person and was trying to just defuse a bad situation on the night he died. I wish it had truthfully made people more conscious about violence but if you look at statistics..violence among african americans against african americans has grown since then. He does deserve a shout out though!!
