A hip hop DJ’s turntable, rotating at .75 rev/sec, slows down and stops when a drunk girl accidentally put her beer on it. It takes 30 seconds to stop. What’s the magnitude of it’s average angular acceleration in rads/s^2 for this process?
I need to know how to solve this please.

The initial angular velocity w = 0.75 rev/s = 0.75(2π)rad/s = 1.50π rad/s. By the way, 0.75 rev/s * 60 s/min = 45 rpm.
Thus, the turntable drops 1.50π rad/s in 30 s:
a = (1.50 rad/s) / ( 30 s ) = 0.05 rad/s^2
And there you have it. Except ‘a’ should be alpha and ‘w’ should be omega.
