What was the last Real Hip-Hop album to go platinum?
I’m talking about an album that’s tempo is Hip-Hop (not these techno-like beats), an album that contains a lot more rapping than singing (something that doesn’t feature a Pop/R&B singer on every other song). @ Precyse: Cam is real hip-hop. He never sold-out and he doesn’t need established R&B/Pop singers on his albums. Crime Pays > BP3. I guess, like everything else, it’s your perception that determines what’s real and what’s hip-hop and what’s lyrical and what’s selling out.
Actually 15/16 songs on that album are classic minus Porn Star
I know you say they can’t have techno beats, but wtf does that have to do with it.
Also, if you get pass the beat of Live Your Life and Dead and Gone and listen to the lyrics they’re actually pretty good.
