Pharcyde-Bizarre ride to the Pharcyde possibly best hip hop album ever?
ok i went shopping yesterday and picked up this classic old skool hip hop album, every track is amazing. The lyrics are so cool and funny. This is definately the best ive heard in a long time and it seperates itself from a lot of other hip hop albums at that time. The rapping, beats and lyrics are genius. What yall think of this classic album?
Its one of hip-hop’s bonafide classic albums, but as enjoyable and influential as it as – there are better in its field, but not many
It helped spark off the west coast’s alternative rap scene and was playful and intelligent at the same time, the quirky lyrics and eclectic production – apart from the obscure Parliament Funkadelic stylings of Sex Packets, hip hop hadn’t really seen anything like at it the time…
I actually think they were a significant inspiration to OutKast, there are so many dimesions and hilarious nuances to their music that I see in post-’94 Big Boi and Dre – precocious, fresh and effervescent…
