Did Michael Steele successfully give the Republican Party a “hip hop makeover”?

I remember Michael Steele always going on the air acting like a fool saying “yo yo yeah whattup to all my homies in the GOP”, I guess to patronizingly pander to “urban youth”.

Here he is on MSNBC talking about how he wears his hat backwards because “that’s how we roll” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40beCFVXSj0

Did Michael Steele, who is obviously the coolest & “hippest” guy in politics – did he transform the GOP in to “The Notorious G.O.P.”?

I just asked about him a few minutes ago. They were on the radio talking about how angry he was the other day re: the way his own fellow GOPers had been treating him (lol), and that the new election was suppose to take place yesterday. I just saw that he lost. Everybody say it together now, aww … : > ( . (< fake sympathy turned off now lol > ). Steel was a fool and a puppet. How in the he11 are you gonna laugh with fake people who are laughing AT you not WITH you???! I can’t bring myself to feel sorry for him, I just can’t. The GOP had a plan and a ploy, … and Michael Steele was the leading character in it. It is what it is. He made HIMSELF look like a fool! ALL Black men are not the “hip hop” buffoons that the GOP make them all out to be with their stereotypes pffft! I guess the GOPer lol the loudest over Steel losing, is the Chairman candidate before Steel who lost and who was a member of an all White country club for 12 years(only left the club when he ran for Chairman, to try to make himself appear not racist pffft) and hated Steele’s guts, and hated that Steel ever became the Chairman of his beloved RNC. His name is Katon Dawson. Next to him would be Limbaugh laughing loud. If Steele had any sense, he’d “give” his middle finger to them on his way out the door. They’ll probably have one of their members watch over Steele while he clears his desk out to make sure that he’s not taking anything that’s not his. Typical mistrust of a Black man no matter what position he holds.
