Why hasn’t Consequence achieved recognition in Hip Hop yet?

Over 10 years in the game, cousin to Q-Tip, has been featured on classic albums (The College Dropout, Late Registration, Midnight Marauders, Beats Rhymes and Life). Has one of the best mix-tape series out, a great album and has been co-signed by Legends in the game.

He’s obviously dope, so why doesn’t he get any recognition? and I don’t mean record sales or radio spins but RECOGNITION, why don’t you ever hear him cited amongst other dope rappers in NY?
