Where to DL megamixes?
Where’s the best website to DL the latest hip hop megamixes? Not trance, but hiphop~
If you are willing to pay for your tracks and they are commercially available then iTunes should have some of what you want.
If you are looking for more obscure stuff then you need a P2P (peer to peer) client which enables you to share tracks from your computer with the content of other computers. Limewire.com has a good P2P programme.
You will need to be patient though, as the tracks you want may be on a computer that isn’t connected to limewire at the same time that you are. I have spent months trying to get hold of some obscure track from the early 1960s, but eventually it has been there and I have managed to dl it, though not necessarily in one go!
Be wary though, there are a number of spam/junk items which when downloaded will be not what you think (mainly links to porn sites). You can easily recognise these with a bit of practise though (look at the file size … very few music tracks are 77k in size!!!).
I have used Limewire for years, and it is a good, free, P2P client. There is a paid for “turbo” version which is worth buying if you intend to dl a lot of stuff.
Try the free version first, and if you want to you can buy the paid version.
After 3 years of using the free version I have upgraded to the full version and it was worth every penny!
Limewire works well on both Macs and PCs.
