Hip Hop is dead????
For the first time in my life, I watched a rap video without hearing the lyrics or beat. All I saw was this “no name” rapper throwing money all over the screen with his boys and showing off priceless jewels and cars and showboating women like they were useless. I love hip-hop and I am concerned that it is going down the wrong path. It seems funny to me that the vast majority of people who buy the music are affected by the economic crisis but these artist don’t seem to care and continue to throw money around like they don’t care. I can remember the old Snoop videos where he would be in the projects trying to survive and now these ungrateful bastards want to call what they do hip-hop. Is the music industry going down the toilet or can it be resurrected?

I don’t even mean to hate on hip-hop. That said it isn’t my favorite music I really dig rock or funk. All music is related in ways though. Every other year people think rock is dead. I agree that there’s alot of crap in hip-hop. That’s how it goes though. My advice is focus on the real artists. Hip-hop still has great music and it’s at the top of the charts. No genre is selling nearly as many albums. ironically the cheesy fake jewel wearin, no-namers, with women in skimpy clothes are what girls are listening to, they are the biggest part of the problem. They just want crap to shake their booties to.
