Hip Hop Idioms

Is “death of auto tune” (or any variation of the phrase) the preferred idiom these days?
Much like “hip-hop is dead” swept the nation only 3 years ago.
Yes. And even worse, these rubes think it’s actually relevant. Jay-Z puts some vaguely diss-like record with a reference to auto-tune over a hot beat and suddenly, Autotune is dead?
GTFO.
Lil Wayne, T-Pain and whoever else who uses auto-tune will continue to do so and sell with it. Autotune isn’t dead and neither is hip hop. I really wish people didn’t regurgitate the ramblings of MC’s outside their actual lyrics like they hold any real weight in the real world.
Next thing you know, Lil Wayne will be telling the masses “Sleeping with women is played out” and that will be the new movement.
