The history of Hip Hop Clothing

Clothing is an important factor in what we are. That is why urban apparel has become a popular trend in recent two years. So what is Urban Clothing.

urban clothing actually has roots in 1980, with the rise of hip hop. This street was realized by established sports brands as Lecoste, Fila, Kangol and Adidas to name a few.

Also with the emergence of hip hop was also introduced break dance. Since most of the movements originated from the street, the clothes had to be comfortable, and show a little bit about who you were. Most breakdance sport and wristbands would use a brand of tennis shoes.

Hip hip clothing also showed his prestige and wealth. With most of the MCs Big Daddy Kane and LL Cool J, wearing expensive jewelry, heavy chains and heavy gold rope, and even gold teeth. Bomber jackets were another essential hip hop clothing.

As time passed in the eighties changed the style to a more urban fashion. Young people wear badges car through no neck, often stolen from a vehicle motorists unknowingly. These include Mercedes and Volkswagen logos. Kangols Instead, baseball became the rule often associated with the area where he lived in is turned off came the jackets and hooded sweatshirts. These were often used as a way to hide your identity while marking a wall or train car. Labelling as the graffiti artist allowed to import its own unique style to an area, often altering the officials and police. To combat these areas Specific opened to allow graffiti to legally use, however, the idea that entrapment is illegal and was often the emotion behind the label.

Moving clothing at the present time, and has taken on new meaning. Urban clothing rather than prestige or wealth is all about attitude. This was done out with gangsta rappers like Tupac Shakur, Kanye West and Biggy Smalls. The clothes are on the street, the attitude and showing what its done. Urban shirts are still in bells, but are often to protect identities, often used on top of a baseball cap.

Although hip hop fashion has changed, the meaning behind them has not. Showing who you are and what we are about has always been the way in urban and hip hop culture forever.
