Hip Hop Early 90s
What are your opinions on the 1980s hip hop music?
I consider that to be the golden era of hip hop music, most of my favorite songs are the 80s/early 90s hip hop music
I love it for the simplicity. Simple beats, great sampling, rappers who were popular just because they were good not because of who they knew. Most of the stuff I like is from the late 80s, eric b and rakim, kool g and polo, BDK, PE, Slick Rick, BDP, Ultramagnetic Mcs, De la soul, NWA, D.O.C., but it definitely was a great era. It seems like over the course of hip hop it has become harder and harder to find the best artists, but in the 80s it was simple: the guys who got airplay were the best ones doing.
