Hip Hop Dynamics
What are some psychological aspects of Hip Hop music?
I might write a research paper on the psychology of hip hop, but im having issues coming up with certain aspects. I think there would be a lot of social psychology issues I could mention, but Im not sure what they are
I know I can talk about stereotypes, gender biases (biases in general), and group dynamics. Not sure what else i can talk about however.
It depends.
If you’re talking about a club rapper like Lil Wayne and 50 Cent for example, the’re phychology would be drinking, cars, women etc.
If you’re talkin about an intellegent socially consicious rapper like Common and Immortal Technique, they’re phychology would be changing the world, poverty, etc.
Lupe Fiasco, has a song called “Muhammed walks”.
In this song, he says:
G’s up along with Muhammad and Jesus
In the Quran they call him Isa
Don’t think Osama and sadaam are is our leada
We pray for peace, but the drama intrigues us

In The Song “Changes” by 2Pac, he says:
“Cops give a damn about a n*gro, pull a trigger, kill a n*gger he’s a hero.”
So his phychology would probably be changing the world.
