What is a good set up for running an amp with 6×8 car speakers?

i have a 2007 ford focus that i just recently bought and i cant stand anything about the stereo. im looking at getting a Pioneer DEH-6300UB reciever so im wanting to know what the best set up as far as speakers and an amp would be and possibly a sub…?? im wanting to replace the four speakers in my car now with aftermark speakers…more than likely Pioneer TS-A6872R 6-Inch X 8-Inch 3-Way 240-Watt Speakers im not wanting to spend a ton of money but im willing to spend what i have to. i dont need the best sound in the world or tons of bass. i listen to all different kinds of music so i just want a solid sound. clear highs and mids and strong bass but not trunk rattling. i drive a focus not a caprice… plus im not trying to advertise what i have. i would like to have the option of more bass for when i do listen to hip hop but its not that important. so what would a solid set up be for something along those lines?

I use sonicelectronix.com. Go there, find what is in your price range. Probably fosgate, kenwood, kicker, infinity, and polk are all going to be in your price range (not rediculous).

If you’re dead set on the speakers you listed, find the RMS rating on them (NOT PEAK!!) Then find an amp that is around that (rms wise). Also, pay attention to the OHM load. Find out what the ohm load on the speakers you want are, and find an amp to match. You want to go with a 4 channel amp. If you find speakers that are 4-6 ohms, and you get a 2 ohm amp, you are going to blow the speakers asap.

If you have anymore questions, ask.
